This new 6,900 s.f. facility was constructed for the purpose of testing raw materials. It included new office space & two different laboratory’s. The project consisted of a concrete foundation, masonry walls & a structural steel frame & stairs. The exterior facade included a TPO roof surrounded by standing seam metal roofing & architectural eyebrows. The interior walls received a level 5 finish with various paint colors that were highlighted by the stained concrete floors & matching carpet tile. The natural color-stained doors & dark glass created a calm & inviting work space. The two laboratories included a raw material space & cure room. The other testing area was designed for comprehensive testing equipment, a lean testing processes & infrastructure for future needs.
The facility was erected on an extremely small site. The client utilized their large parking area for this construction on this project. The existing facility had to remain in operation during the construction of the new facility which created several challenges. This site included all new underground utilities & a new electrical service, transformer & high voltage switchgear. The site paving & landscaping were completed while the existing facility users rented a parking area next door for employee’s to park. Rostro built ramps & designated temporary walkways for employee entrance to the existing facility. Both the city of Corona & the client were extremely satisfied with the project.
Jack Brown the Building Inspector Supervisor stated, “The City of Corona has worked with countless contractors over the years & Rostro Construction is clearly on of the best I have worked with as the city building manager”.
This project consisted of the installation of 14 custom Steel Trash Enclosures. Each building
received one or two enclosures depending on its size. Each enclosure required a concrete foundation & curb at the perimeter. Steel posts were set at the gates, corners and in between panels. Steel panels were fabricated and installed along with dual entry gates and locking hasp. All enclosures received a painted finish to match the adjacent building.

The Riffe International Speargun manufacturing facility has suffered from a poorly installed roof for years. Due to the major issues with the existing roof, Rostro installed a new 12,600 S.F. TPO roof with a 25 year manufacturers warranty. In addition to the roofing all flashing &
termination bars were replaced & painted to match the existing building.
The Skylight replacement project included the removal & replacement of 112 skylights on several buildings throughout the Longfellow Developments campus. The sizes ranged from 2’x2’ to 10’x10’ and were installed on several different roof types. Minor repairs to the roofing were required in some cases and numerous waterproofing techniques were utilized to prevent water infiltration from the weather.
This project was composed of two obstacle courses for the male & female recruits. The existing courses were taken out of service due to safety reasons. We redesigned the installation of the horizontal timbers so they could be rotated for wear on the top of the timber. The existing timbers were splintered & the tops were damaged & made it difficult to utilise. The client was very pleased with the opportunity to extend the life of this facility by 4x rather than 1x. The new courses included new gun barrel smooth timber placed in concrete foundations. Each horizontal piece was placed in a saddle with pins to be removed for rotation. Steel pipe was placed across & along various obstacles. Rubber mulch was placed inside plastic barriers once the course was completed.
The LRC Training Course is utilised to enhance the motor skills of the new marines at Camp Pendleton. The existing older wood facility was completely demolished & a new masonry facility with 12 training stations & a galvanised catwalk system to oversee the instruction sat in the same location. All training areas were graded & rubber tire mulch was installed to soften any falls. New power was installed to all training stations for future lighting.
